Just a follow-up on the note below: Sandy is recovering from the major injuries he received in the traffic accident in early October. He is out of the hospital and going through rehab now.
A prayer for his continued recovery would be in order.

Received word from Stan Alexander a few minutes ago...we need to be in prayer for Dr. Sandy Frank the former D-8 VP
who was in a wreck on Oct. 1st in Muncie while visiting the
AMA HQ.
This wreck has reportedly left Sandy with severe trauma. Over night Sandy was saved from multiple issues that seemed to re-occur hour by hour. These included two collapsed lungs and a total crash from which he was brought back thanks to the guided hands of hospital staff
Keep Sandy in your prayers for immediate stabilization and smooth path through what is said to be a long recovery. Your thoughts and prayers are appreciated!

Been building and flying since the 40's. Started out with an ignition system, nothing but problems, then to free flight, hand launch gliders, "U" control and finally to RC. Never had so much fun building and flying RC crashed a few times (quite often really) but l am getting better, coming home with the plane l started with after an afternoon of flying with the club. (Sky Rangers) from the city of Kamloops BC. No longer belong to them now since l have moved from Kamloops and now live in Port Alberni on Vancouver Island. You have a real nice site, keep it up, cheers all and good flying. Bill Evans Port Alberni Canada

Didn't seem to work the first time so I'll try again. Just dropping in to say Hi and to see what's going on. I had a great time at the 2004 Control-Line World Championships. It was my first visit to Muncie. Enjoyed the AMA Museum immensely. The World Champs seemed to be very well run. Kudos to the AMA staff and volunteers.

Re-entering the world of model aircraft after many years of inactivity. Was an AMA member in the late 1960's. The main interest is HLG and scale, coupe and other OT rubber power. As I look around it appears that almost all activity is in RC. Is there any HLG or rubber power activity anymore? And more specifically in the East Texas region? Will rejoin AMA if there is any of this type activity in or around the region or within a reasonable distance. Also have a son, recently retired Air Force living in Shreveport with same interests, and he also is interested in AMA if the activity is available.

We have a small club. We are on the untroden path away from everything. If anyone has some good servicable radio equipment for sale at a real reasonable price we would be interested. Everyone says that it is so expensive to get into our hobby/sport. I paid close to $500 for my first radio, and that was just 4channel.My first engine was a super tiger 40 at a price tag of $23 though. I love building and turn a lot of planes into Kits.

I have uncovered an old "New in Box" Kyosho North American B-25 U-Control kit. I am interested to know if anyone has flown such a large control line kit and what some of the pitfalls can be. With a wingspan of 47+ inches and twin "B" size engines I can only presume it is a handful to fly. Any information regarding a plane of this type would be greatly appreciated.
Regards and Thanks
