Day 1 Event Pilots and Support crew Volunteers - They made it happen.
Jack starts by putting together his twin engine Otter
Greg assembling the plane while Scott and Charlie supervise.
Alan brought his scratch built Se5a which took a couple of hours to put together.
Lots of static display models
Ken Ross's Crown Royal. He did the covering - beautiful job.
Jon Huston setup the 3 flight simulators that were a big hit with the kids.
Ed was "the man" that setup the static display layout.
Just outside our hanger a C17 pulled in and parked. We also had a B52, B1B, KC135, and a C5.
These were parked in the hanger across from us.
Dans loading up the big one. It took up the entire trailer.
Jon and Drew position the last aircraft on the trailer for the trip to the flightline.
Day 1 of Demonstration Flying.
Greg Ermatinger, event CD had his hands full with the Air Force's strict flight rules for the modelers.
Andy Clapp and Roger Brickley did the announcing.
"Show me your Shoes" a San Antonio Tradition.
Day 1 the line up is set (Right to Left) Chris Hess, Drew Applebee, Buckie, Ken Ross, Bob Sawyer and Frank Simas.
Jack Matlock Otter was a big hit on the flight line next to the full scale. His model drew as many people as the full scale.
